Android prayer protection
Choose a location and prayer windows in Prayers. Enable prayer protection and grant Do Not Disturb access. Allow Alarms & reminders for more accurate timing. Without exact-alarm permission the system may delay transitions. Alarms stay audible.
Mosque visits
Enable mosque protection and grant precise location, background location, and Do Not Disturb access. Android uses a short dwell and exit delay to reduce accidental switching. Geofence delivery may take several minutes and depends on system location services and battery restrictions.
Travel and offline use
Open Sokin after travelling or changing timezones to refresh schedules and nearby monitored mosques. Downloaded areas remain available offline. Worldwide search is optional and sends an approximate search area to public OpenStreetMap services.
iPhone Focus and reminders
Sokin cannot directly switch iPhone Silent or Focus mode. In Settings → Focus, create a prayer Focus and add your chosen location or time schedule. Sokin prayer reminders are scheduled for a limited number of upcoming prayers; reopen the app before the displayed reminder coverage expires.
Prayer-time accuracy
Calculated times can differ from your local mosque. Check the selected method and madhhab, adjust individual times, or import a dated timetable with its source and timezone. Imported timetables are user supplied, not independently verified by Sokin.
When protection stops
Check the in-app status and permission settings. Force-stopping an Android app prevents its background work until it is opened again. No app can guarantee immediate indoor location detection. A manual quiet period is available when you need it.
